Don’t Know How Real This Is… But This Is From The NEW YORK TIMES
From The New York Times…
A new digital plague has hit the Internet, infecting millions of personal and business computers in what seems to be the first step of a multistage attack. The world’s leading computer security experts do not yet know who programmed the infection, or what the next stage will be.
In recent weeks a worm, a malicious software program, has swept through corporate, educational and public computer networks around the world. Known as Conficker or Downadup, it is spread by a recently discovered Microsoft Windows vulnerability, by guessing network passwords and by hand-carried consumer gadgets like USB keys.
Many computer users may not notice that their machines have been infected, and computer security researchers said they were waiting for the instructions to materialize, to determine what impact the botnet will have on PC users. It might operate in the background, using the infected computer to send spam or infect other computers, or it might steal the PC user’s personal information.
Unraveling the program has been particularly challenging because it comes with encryption mechanisms that hide its internal workings from those seeking to disable it.
Computer security researchers expect that within days or weeks the bot-herder who controls the programs will send out commands to force the botnet to perform some as yet unknown illegal activity.
The worm has reignited a debate inside the computer security community over the possibility of eradicating the program before it is used by sending out instructions to the botnet that provide users with an alert that their machines have been infected.

I’ve tried this new search engine …Cuil for 2 days and it claims to be better than Google.
Well… I beg to differ. Their first mortal sin is that they can’t locate LCO… They can find it through all the blog listers and rankers…. But… They can’t find LosCuatroOjos.com itself… Nowhere!… Not even when the url is entered directly.
I’m not saying that LCO is the most important site on the web (well…it is to me!)..But all…and I mean all of the other search engines can find us.
We’ll give ‘em a few weeks to get their crawlers out.
In the meantime… Give us your opinion.
This is a Massive WTF?!? moment for me… I didn’t know Shea Stadium was scheduled for demolition!.. I mean… I knew Yankee Stadium was coming down… And I choked on the disgust that that raised within me… What the hell are these people thinking?… My Grandma’s been a Yanks fan all of her life!… What about the history?!?… You frigging Dingbats!
But now… But Now… And how did I miss this one?… Shea Stadium too?!?… That’s where I saw my first pro game! I’m a Mets fan!… A largely inactive one… But a Mets fan nonetheless.
As far as I’m concerned… The City Of New York has officially sold out… They’ve ripped the soul of the city out.
A Pox On You And Yours… Any That Had To Do With This… This Travesty… This Abomination!… This miserable, offal eating, money grubbing, short sighted, history destroying, godforsaken madness!
Now I know how Gollum felt when Bilbo took away his “Precious”…
Citi Field?… I Hope You Choke On It!!!!
Most of my music is in CD’s… But I do prefer the sound of LP’s… Don’t like the work involved though… I can tell the difference with an MP3 though… And I don’t like it… And for a long trip I will play music stored at the higher quality modes… But for everyday driving around… I plug a thumb drive in that’s loaded with MP3′s.
Sorry, vinyl aficionados, but CDs most accurately capture the clarity of musical performances. If you look at the grooves of a standard long-play record, or LP, through a microscope, you’ll see that each is filled with what look like rolling hills. These are, in fact, an extremely close replication of the shape of the sound waves from the musician’s instrument. But because the needle that carves the groove is shaped slightly different than the needle that reads it, the LP will never sound exactly like the original performance. (Not to mention that changes in temperature and humidity warp vinyl over time.)

For the first time ever… LCO has had over 100,000 unique visitors within one month. We went from 17 visitors less than a year ago to 101K for June. I’ll admit that I never expected that anyone would be interested in the rantings of a cockeyed lunatic…. I started this thing to lower my blood pressure… It seems that there are lots of folks that are also cockeyed lunatics with blood pressure issues…
And… It would seem that the world has no shortage of people and governments that insist on doing ridiculous stuff for us to point and laugh at.
I did what you told me ..
I sent the email to 10 people like you said
I’m still waiting for that miracle to happen .
To all my friends who in the last year sent me best ‘wishes’, chain letters, ‘angel’ letters or other promises of good luck if I forwarded something,
NONE OF THAT SH*T WORKED!
For The Remainder of the year, could you please just send money, Vodka, chocolate, movie tickets or gasoline vouchers, stamps, canned food and airline tickets instead?
